sat down in my lazy-boy after getting home from work and didn’t muster up the willpower to get up until it was past my bed time, most likely for the sole purpose of picking up the bag of laundry that i was too lazy to do myself so i paid some immigrants 90 cents a pound to wash dry and fold.

realizing i hadn’t eaten since breakfast i stopped and got some garbage fast food along the one and a half blocks between my house and there.

already hating myself for making such a shitty decision, i resigned my self to eating alone at the allston burger king fifteen minutes before close, washing each bite down with some half assed justification while eavesdropping on the only other patrons of the joint - two indian dudes having an elaborate but mundane conversation about their favorite fast food restaurants. i get half way through both sandwiches (if you can call them that) before i can’t take it anymore, i throw my shit in the trash and walk out.

it’s raining. i get all but 16 steps from the door only to encounter three well muscled frat boys who are loud drunk and so coked up they’re chewing on the sweaty air. they stop me begging for cigarettes. i explain that i don’t have any. i meant to buy a pack earlier but didn’t, reminding me of yet another thing that i didn’t accomplish today.

i get home, only to sit back down in my chair, too tired not to go to bed, too overwhelmed to get up and brush my teeth.

another day wasted.
